Chris Cole takes home the $100,000 first place prize from the 2009 Maloof Money Cup. Watch the highlights and see how hard his competition was!

He won by doing groundbreaking tricks in a contest run: Cab front side bluntslides on the rail. Front side 180 switch smith grinds. He made the rail look like a toy. Chris was joined by Tommy Sandoval and Nyjah Huston in the top three: a different set of names to see at the top of contests for sure. The Finals were run in different stages on Geoff Rowley’s course: First they skate the UCI rail, then the transition area, followed by the Rincon rail and stairs. Everyone had their strong points, but it was Cole who just annihilated everyone else throughout the Money Cup.

Have you ever seen someone jump over a draw bridge? No? Then watch this! And its not just any bridge, it’s London Bridge.

Robbie Maddison performed a no-handed backflip as he commited himself and his bike across the gap in the middle of the bridge at 0255 BST. The 27-year-old Australian holds the record for the world’s longest ever motorbike jump at 350.7ft (106.9m). The stunt came ahead of his performance at Battersea Power Station as part of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour.

Speaking after the Tower Bridge stunt, he said: “The whole experience was awesome.”

“We had a matter of minutes on the bridge and had to time everything to the second – there were so many factors to get right, but we pulled it off.”

“It was an incredible feeling to fly between the two towers and over the Thames.”

As the title suggests, this guy is an utter nutter!! You see him lying in the plane with a redbull, then casually looks out the door and hurls himself out! Wearing only a pair of shorts he plummets to the ground with a worryingly large grin on his face.  He even manages to keep his glasses on all the way down! This dude is one insane mo fo!

Check out his other stunts, including his own slip and die!? Basically a much more intense slip and slide…not designed for little kids, big kids only.

Watch this clip and be amazed at the heights these guys reach on their trials bikes. I don’t think I could jump this high on a bike or even without one!

Its the official UCI Bunny Hop High Jump World Record attempt at the mountain bike festival “Bike the Rock” in Heubach, Germany.

Benito Ros Charral was crowned champion after he jumped over a height of 1,42 meters (56 inches)!! I don’t think you can appreciate the difficulty of hopping that high until you get out on your bike and try for yourself. However as you can see their bike are not your standard MTB, sepcially customised wheels and components and ultra light frames allow them to get this high, but it still requires a mass of skill!!

For those of you who’ve tried rock climbing, it is safe to says it can be difficult, painful and very tiring! However American, Dan Osman doesnt seem to show any of those characteristics!

He literally leaps 400ft up Lovers Leap California with no ropes, harnessess or care for his own safety, as you can see him fully letting go and jumping up one part of the cliff! People have called it “amazing”, “freakin loco!” but also irresponsible and dangerous. I guess it depends how you look at it…from a skill and techincal point of view its truly remarkable! But from a safety/setting an example view it is obviously a highly dangerous sport.

And unfortunately he paid the ultimate price for his extreme way of life when a rope failed on him during a 1000ft cliff rope decent, causing his tragic death.

So with or without ropes, climbing is still one extremely risky business!

Scotsman Danny MacAskill has compiled this video over the last few months, with the help of his friend Dave Sowerby as part of the Inspired Bicycles Team.

Probably some of the most imaginative and technical lines you can ride!!

Danny MacAskill (more info at www.dannymacaskill.com) features probably the greatest collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There’s some massive riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video explodes the thoughts of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.

Complimented very well with ‘The Funeral” by Band of Horses.

Join the masses as Redbull joins NASCAR in this ingenious idea or promotion as they organise a Pit Stop in the hustle and bustle of Time Square. With the 560bhp V8 engine of the NASCAR making it the centre of attention the aim of the team is to pit stop as fart as possible during rush hour in the centre of Time Square

Difficult hay? well not for the well practiced redbull team who go to work straight away on changing tyres, filling the petrol tank up with a hampster like contraction. The pressure is on as they start work. Theres no ‘I’ in Team as they progress around the car letting it off after 20.6 seconds. It isn’t too fast but considering the location still impressive!

HALO also known as High Altitude Low Opening is one of the more risky extreme sports. Originally created to test how risky it was to eject from an aeroplane at high altitude this experience has become popular with extreme enthusiasts in and out of military zones. With a height of around 30,000ft this jump requires an oxygen tank and a lot of skill to help with a consistent freefall. With an average of around 4 minutes of freefall this experience will leave you with a whole world of emotions running through you.

With the sign showing Get In, Sit Down, Shut up & Hold On nothing more really needs to be explained. Then all you need is for your emotions to take control as you progress through shock, excitment, confusion and wonder as you reach speeds of up to 180mph as you quickly approach the earths surface. Hmm I think I would probably try this after a few skydives but maybe after a lot of training!

Stunt or Real? Well whatever it is, its risky, dangerous and full of adrenaline so is worth a comment. Thinking of it as a real incident, the pilot is soon to realise that he is in trouble forcing him to eject from the Ultralight aircraft leaving him accelerating towards the fast approaching earth. With no view of a parachute being deployed as he approaches the ground, this could be quite a hastey descent as well as causing some anxiety to the spectators!

As the Ultralight ascends up into the sky, now without a pilot the engine catches fire causing it to explode. Nice views, demolished plane. Which one would you prefer?

With the skill of a paraglider pilot, I would expect them to make sure they had a clear take off path. Unless the pilot did not see the post or just expected to be able to launch himself because hitting the post I think this is a major fail on his behalf.

He can barely blaim this crash on anything in particular as the day seems perfect for gliding. Well all I can say is at least he had his helmet on and some sort of padding otherwise it would have been a bit of an uncomfortable crash!
